Mary Ellen Flynn specializes in family law, contested trusts and estates, guardianships and civil litigation dedicating her practice to helping individuals navigate some of life’s most challenging situations. Mary Ellen has a particular specialty in enforcing Court Orders and Judgments and she also assists clients with their estate planning and probate needs. Mary Ellen approaches each case with active listening, compassion, and a commitment to keeping clients fully informed throughout the legal process.

Mary Ellen brings extensive courtroom experience as both a skilled trial attorney and effective negotiator, with her reputation for principled advocacy earning her respect throughout the legal community. She is also frequently appointed to represent children in high-conflict custody cases as a Best Interest Attorney, and to serve as court-appointed Trustee, Receiver of businesses, and Guardian of property for individuals in need of legal protection.

Among her peers in the legal profession, Mary Ellen is regularly sought out by other attorneys for consultation on complex family law and estate matters due to her background in these specialized areas. She has served in numerous leadership positions within the legal community, including past presidencies of both the Montgomery County Bar Association, Montgomery County Bar Foundation, and Women’s Bar Association of Montgomery County and service for several terms on the Maryland State Bar Association’s Board of Governors and Executive Committee. Mary Ellen is also committed to mentoring the next generation of legal professionals, working with high school students, pre-law students, and new attorneys throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia.
