Divya Prasad’s knowledge of commercial real estate in concert with her detail-oriented nature enables her to provide her clients with steady guidance, as she helps them navigate the multifaceted real estate legal landscape. She focuses her practice on counseling clients in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions and dispositions, borrower financing, representing financial institutions, commercial leasing and general corporate matters. Throughout her career, Divya has helped to negotiate the purchase, sale, or lease of aircraft, equipment, commercial real estate, vehicle fleets, and satellites.

Prior to joining Stein Sperling, Divya practiced real estate and business law throughout the D.C. region. She previously clerked for the District Court of Maryland for Baltimore City. While studying at American University Washington College of Law, Divya served as a legal intern in the Legal Development Finance group at the World Bank Group, and in the International and Trade Compliance group at Hughes Network Systems. As a staffer at the
American University Business Law Review, she authored articles on pressing legal issues surrounding data privacy, artificial intelligence, smart contracts, blockchain, insurtech, and international trade sanctions.
