Jeremy Vaida brings a breadth of public and private sector experience to bear as he provides practical and thorough legal advice in the areas of tax and business. He has facilitated transactions across a wide variety of industries, including health, construction, government contracting, telecom and more. He is adept at handling some of the most vexing tax issues facing taxpayers today, such as conservation easements, captive insurance, cannabis taxation, and multi-state nexus and apportionment.

As a member of Stein Sperling’s nationally recognized tax litigation team, Jeremy provides expert representation before the IRS and state taxing authorities. He defends taxpayers from the initial audit all the way through to Tax Court, when necessary. Jeremy’s tailored approach ensures taxpayers always receive advice that suits their specific situation. Whether it be through an installment agreement, Offer in Compromise, or another collection alternative, he ensures taxpayers secure an agreement that works for them

Jeremy is also one of only approximately 100 individuals certified by the Israeli Bar Association as a “Foreign Lawyer” licensed to practice in Israel. With this designation, Jeremy helps American and Israeli individuals and businesses navigate the often treacherous vagaries of living and doing business across both nations. To that end, Jeremy provides advice on a host of U.S./international-related topics, such as cross-border business planning, taxation of digital products, offshore disclosures, international tax compliance, individual tax issues and estate planning as well as U.S. citizenship renunciation.

Finally, as a Certified Valuation Analyst, Jeremy is trained to value business enterprises. As both a lawyer and a valuator, Jeremy applies this training predominantly in the litigation context, such as in cases of divorce or business disputes. This has enabled Jeremy to gain particular insight into the economics of his client’s businesses, allowing him to assess not only the mechanics of a given transaction, but also its substance.
