Persuasive and resourceful, Jeremy Vaida is a fundamental member of Stein Sperling’s nationally recognized tax litigation team. Recognizing that complex and ever changing tax laws and regulations can be confusing, Jeremy’s primary goal is “to bring some level of certainty and predictability” to his client’s situations. Jeremy combines public and private sector experience to develop unique solutions to otherwise intractable problems, focusing primarily on business transactions and Tax Court litigation.
Jeremy brings his substantive tax knowledge and keen communication skills to bear in mapping out and explaining clear approaches to each client’s case. Whether clients seek to expand operations or exit a successful enterprise, Jeremy provides them with thorough and comprehensive guidance. He has facilitated transactions across a wide variety of industries, including health, construction and telecom, and is adept at handling some of the most vexing issues facing taxpayers today – such as conservation easements, captive insurance and multi-state nexus and apportionment.
Jeremy is also a thought leader in the developing cannabusiness sector in Maryland and the region. He provides industry-specific tax and business solutions to the unique challenges faced by cannabis growers, producers, retailers and investors. He has spoken extensively on this topic and been published in leading law journals such as The Tax Lawyer, the quarterly journal of the Tax Section of the American Bar Association.
