Don’t Forget Your Annual Report and Personal Property Return!
Posted in: Business Law
Beginning in 2018, Maryland business owners will no longer be mailed a reminder to file their company’s Annual Report and Personal Property Return on or before April 15 (April 16 this year because April 15 falls on a Sunday).
However, business owners may sign up to receive e-mail reminders on the State Department of Assessments and Taxation website. In addition, the Annual Report and Personal Property Return are being divided into separate filings, both of which may be filed online through the Maryland Business Express by mail or in person.
If you own a business organized in Maryland or are qualified to do business in Maryland, be sure to timely file your Annual Report and Personal Property Return in order to maintain good standing in the State of Maryland. We also recommend that business owners sign up with the State Department of Assessments and Taxation to receive timely e-mail reminders to file these documents in the future.
