Drawn to law to effect positive change in people’s lives, Drew Cole is an integral member of Stein Sperling’s commercial, construction, and estates, trusts and probate litigation teams. As a trial attorney, with a focus on commercial and construction litigation, Drew dedicates his practice to representing a diverse array of public and private sector clients, including owners, contractors, specialty trade subcontractors, construction managers, suppliers, design professionals, and others involved in the construction trades.

Drew has extensive experience in all phases of construction litigation, including drafting and negotiation of construction contracts, filing and foreclosure of construction liens and the enforcement of contractors’ rights. He is especially well versed in the procedures to assert, enforce or defend against a mechanics’ lien, as well as the personal liability risk for general contractors under the Maryland Trust Fund Act, Prompt Payment Act and other actions available to owners and contractors in order for them to collect money owed.

In addition to his construction litigation practice, Drew represents an array of corporate and private clients in general commercial litigation, estate and fiduciary litigation, business litigation, and real estate disputes. Drew frequently advocates for clients in both State and Federal court, as well as in arbitration and mediation settings, handling a range of commercial contract disputes.

Prior to joining Stein Sperling nearly two decades ago, Drew honed his legal skills as a clerk for a judge in the Montgomery County Circuit Court, laying the groundwork for his distinguished career in law.
